How to protect your customers?
Take charge of your emails. There are so many scams these days and phishing sites that you must be careful that these scammers don’t latch on to your email lists. Make sure to check your business email account frequently.
If you run an online business or any business in which you send newsletters, promotions, flyers, or information, make sure you are actively checking your links that they aren’t broken.
You also want to ensure your clients that you are practicing security and encrypting their files. This is especially important for notes you take, emails, calls, etc. If you are old school and haven’t moved digital because you are afraid of hacking, you make a mistake. Most files have to be digital, and those that aren’t at some point will have to be transcribed, and it can be costly to find someone to type all your notes.
Drives are very safe these days and can be trusted. There are lots of software that you can use to share files with clients if you don’t believe in email safety. But keep in mind that today, email has privacy. Certain links, images, documents do disappear after a specific time, specifically on Gmail. The email has come a long way. Creating a shared drive between yourself and clients is not only great for large files but also because it builds trust between you and the client, and they can see what you’re working on. This is also an excellent way for people who may not be tech-savvy. If you set them up, they can access files whenever. It also cuts back on things getting lost in a chain of emails.
